Julia Dziuk’s journey as a permanent makeup pioneer began in 1986 when she earned her clinical esthetics license in Hamburg, Germany. While practicing as an esthetician, Julia pursued a business degree and opened her spa upon graduating. In 1993, she discovered the transformative art of permanent cosmetics, quickly establishing herself as a leading permanent makeup artist in Germany.
Two years later, Julia relocated to the United States and became Technical Director of Esthetics at Blaine, a renowned group of cosmetology schools in Massachusetts. Managing multiple locations and instructors, she honed her skills in education and leadership. By 2003, Julia was appointed Cosmetology Department Chair at North Shore Community College, overseeing programs in cosmetology, esthetics, and nail care.
In 2004, Julia founded Pigmenta to provide innovative permanent makeup services tailored to the growing demands of her clientele. Central to her approach is the Hand Method Application, a precise, gentle technique for implanting permanent color into the skin. This method has become a hallmark of Pigmenta’s success and is widely recognized in the permanent makeup industry.
Julia’s dedication to education has helped countless beauty, tattooing, and medical professionals refine their craft. Most practitioners in the Boston area have been trained by or apprenticed under her. Julia offers a comprehensive 100-hour Softap/Pigmenta Fundamentals Permanent Makeup and Microblading course, along with advanced classes, ensuring her techniques continue to empower the next generation of beauty specialists.
